Where should I locate the POGO® Alarms unit?
Anywhere dry and suitable for an electrical accessory; a cabinet, glove box, or locker. The POGO® Alarms unit is designed to look like a battery charger, and in fact acts as a battery charger when properly installed. The POGO Alarms decal is easily removed to further conceal the unit.
Does the POGO® Alarms unit require hard-wiring into the boats electrical system?
No hard wiring is required. The POGO® Alarms unit is fully portable and can be transferred from one vessel, or vehicle, to another or permanently mounted in one location.
Is the POGO® Alarms unit difficult to install?
Not at all. First, make sure that the POGO® Alarms unit is switched OFF. Then plug in the 12 volt and 110 volt power cords and switch the unit ON.
How big is the POGO® Alarms unit?
Approximately 7” x 5” x 3.187” and weighs less than 3 lbs.
What if my battery loses it charge?
Your battery will not lose its charge -- As long as the POGO Alarms unit is properly installed and activated, it will charge your battery at a 5 amp rate.
What if I don’t like the standard alarm?
The standard alarm can be replaced with the 12 volt appliance of your choice. Contact us for suggestions and compatibility questions.
Can I still lock my vehicle or vessel cabin and cover my boat?
Yes, as long as the POGO Alarms is properly powered, you can continue to lock and secure your vehicle and vessel as you normally would.
How do I reset the unit?
Once the POGO® Alarms unit has been activated, it will remain in the active state until the power switch is turned OFF, the 110 volt power is restored, or the 12v power cord on the unit is disconnected.
